Principal's Desk

Winter is upon us and the Holiday season is here! What a true time to share all that we are grateful for.  Even though this school year has not been the traditional year that we usually have, we still have one another.  I look forward to the day when we will all be together again as one big school family.  Until then, I cherish each time I see your smiling faces on google meets each and every day.  We are grateful that Akron Hope- will host A Day of Hope - Thursday, December 17, 2020 (4:00-6:00 p.m.) - Please plan on coming to school to see what our awesome partners have for each one of our students! (Drive Through Style)Families look at the the new time change to your meal service time:Change to meal service time beginning December 7, 2020 to 11 AM- 12 Noon through the winter.



Counselors Corner:

If you’re in need of food assistance, come to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank (350 Opportunity Parkway in Akron) for a drive-thru food distribution to be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 2pm-4pm.

Central & Southern Ohio Home Fire Campaign

The American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign helps save lives by installing free smoke alarms in homes that don't have them, and by educating people about home fire safety.

Do You Need a Smoke Alarm?

The Red Cross and its partners can test existing smoke alarms and install up to three free smoke alarms for those that need them.

Akron Hope | The Well CDC


Akron Hope provides students, families, and teachers at two elementary schools with year round programming, resources, and relationships.

We work to build community within the school, support the stability of families, and increase connection to place. 


Minority Behavioral Health Group 

MBHG is a comprehensive resource for minorities that provides counseling, education, outreach, and consultation services. Promoting wellness to individuals, families and the community. 


Red Oak Behavioral Health Group 

Red Oak Behavioral Health is a non-profit mental health agency serving the greater Akron community since 1963. We are advocates for children, youth, families and older adults, continually exploring innovative ways of providing professional therapeutic and community support services.


United Way | Family Resource Center 

Family Resource Centers bring supportive programs and wraparound services to where they’re needed most – within our local communities. Located inside schools, Family Resource Centers connect students and their families to health and social services, academic enrichment and more, so that students, schools and neighborhoods can succeed.

Meal Service Times:Change to meal service time beginning December 7, 2020 to 11 AM- 12 Noon through the winter.

12/16 - Pre-K and Kindergarten students - Adventure Backpacks distributed to families 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (during meal pick up) & 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. 

12/17 - Akron Hope- will host A Day of Hope 4 - 6 p.m. - Please plan on coming to school to see what our awesome partners have for each one of our students!
